Lorenzo Serna(they/them), Director of Tactical Media, is a Chicanx queer media-maker who has been on the frontlines of multiple international movements. Lorenzo is a co-founder of Unicorn Riot, where they formerly spent over a decade of their professional media career. Lorenzo organizes process and media assets as they deploy into conflict zones. From the streets of New York City to the rural plains of Standing Rock, Lorenzo has created internationally recognized media– despite being shot at with rubber bullets, doused in pepper spray, and clouded with tear gas. Their focus is decolonizing media and pushing oral storytelling in live video. Lorenzo holds a Masters of Arts with a focus in creative writing and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of North Dakota.
